Features

What Zento ID does

Sign-in by number

A website or product shows a number, and in the Zento ID app you tap the same number out of three. A wrong number rejects the sign-in.

Passkeys

On the website you can sign in with a passkey without typing your username.

Device key

An Ed25519 key is kept in the Android Keystore or in Windows protected storage. Only the public key is sent to the server.

“This is not me”

If you do not recognize a sign-in, tap “This is not me — block”: sign-ins to your account from that address are blocked for an hour.

Account recovery

A 24-character recovery key, or confirmation from 2 of up to 5 trusted contacts. After the confirmation there is a 24-hour wait, and the owner can cancel the recovery.

Sign in to Zento products

Zento products accept sign-in through Zento ID using OpenID Connect. Connected apps are listed in your dashboard.

Sign-in and device history

The dashboard lists sign-ins, confirmations, rejections and the devices on your account.

Safety

How your account is protected

There is no password, so there is nothing to guess or to leak.
The private device key never leaves the device, and every confirmation is signed with it.
Sign-in requests are limited to 3 at a time and 10 per hour per account.
